Learn More About IB

"My IB education transformed my life as I became the first in my family to go to college."

Amy Hernandez Turcios graduated from the IB Diploma Programme (DP) at Highland High School in California. Growing up, she lived in an immigrant and low-income community. After getting accepted into a DP school, Amy graduated as the valedictorian and won a full-ride scholarship to the University of Pennslyvania's Wharton School and began her career as an investment banking analyst. She is now pursuing her MBA at Harvard Business School.

Through grit and determination, Amy overcame challenging life circumstances in order to achieve her dreams. That's the power of an IB education.
